Hi! I’m Carly.

I am a self-taught illustrator and printmaker. My identity as a wife, mom, and queer person greatly influence my work. I’ll take any chance I can get to use bold colors, weave some levity into weighty topics, or advocate for the issues closest to my heart. 

Based on the binders of Spongebob portraits created by my elementary school self, I have always been a maker, but it took many years and many careers to truly call myself an artist. 

Sometimes I’m not sure that my current self would even recognize the person I was 5 or 10 years ago, but I am grateful to be who I am and where I am now: an artist who is lucky enough to spend her days making things that contribute to the beauty and meaning in the world.
